On the first day of the 3 days Marrakech desert tour, you will be picked up from your hotel or the airport in the morning. You’ll then drive through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, which offers stunning panoramic views of the rugged terrain and traditional Berber villages.
Our next stop is the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. This fortified village is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its impressive earthen architecture and ancient streets. It’s been featured in movies like Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy.
After exploring this notable Kasbah, we will have lunch before we drive to the Dades gorges for the overnight.
After breakfast, we will drive through the Dades Valley and stop at a spot where you can see the valley and the Dades Gorges from above. Next, we’ll visit the Todra Gorges, where you can walk and enjoy the tall red cliffs made by the Todra River.
We’ll then drive through palm-filled areas called Touroug and Tinjdad, with a break for lunch on the way.
Finally, we will reach Merzouga at Erg Chebbi sand dunes. here, you will go on a camel ride into the dunes to watch the sunset. At the desert camp, you will have mint tea and stay in a comfortable tent with a bathroom and shower. Enjoy dinner while listening to music around the fire under the stars.
Today, wake up early to see the stunning sunrise over the dunes, where the colors and shadows create a beautiful show. After breakfast, you’ll ride your camel back to Merzouga and meet your driver for the trip back to Marrakech.
We’ll stop in Rissani’s busy market, which is especially lively on Sundays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays. You’ll experience the vibrant colors, smells, and sounds as you explore the market.
Next, we’ll drive to Alnif and follow the scenic Draa Valley route to Ouarzazate. In Ouarzazate, we’ll visit a film studio where many famous movies have been made. After the film studio visit, we’ll cross the Tizi-n-Tichka pass on our way back to Marrakech. At the end of the 3-day Marrakech desert tour, we’ll drop you off safely at your accommodation in Marrakech, finishing this memorable adventure.
